Get Fast Release from Tarrant County Jail

Tarrant County Jail is located in Fort Worth, Texas, and is made up of five different buildings. The buildings are spread out throughout Fort Worth, so it’s important to know precisely which building you are headed to if you are planning to visit an inmate or for any other arrangements.

The Tarrant County Courthouse, located on Weatherford Street in Fort Worth, Texas, is an important historical and architectural landmark. It’s a striking symbol of the city’s rich history and has been a central hub of local government activity for many years.

Built between 1893-1895, the courthouse was designed by Gunn & Curtis and built by the Probst Construction Company of Chicago. The architectural style of the building is Renaissance Revival, with pink Texas granite used for the exterior.

The courthouse stands as a focal point in the city’s skyline, with its central clock tower rising to a height of 194 feet. The tower is capped with a statue of Lady Justice, although interestingly, this statue does not have the commonly associated blindfold.

The cost of the courthouse construction was a whopping $408,840 at the time, which would equate to over $12 million today. The building was financed through a special bond election and its high cost was a matter of controversy at the time.

The courthouse was restored in the 1950s and again in the 1980s, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Today, the Tarrant County Courthouse stands as a testament to the history of Fort Worth and continues to serve as an important center for local government and community activities. It’s an iconic symbol of the city’s commitment to preserving its architectural and cultural heritage while moving forward into the future.
